Reprieve

Reprieve explores the aftermath of the economic crisis and its effects on the physical and psychological landscape of contemporary Ireland. As the economic crisis washed over Ireland, building works around the country ground to a halt leaving many sites on the periphery of towns and cities suspended in transition between agricultural use and urban development.  The planning permission granted on these sites has now lapsed. This work documents the traces of what might have been, what has been left behind and the reclamation by nature of these in-between spaces.
